40.- MARCH 28 AGRA (FORT), INDIA

AGRA, the capital of the great Mughal Empire in the 16th and 17th centuries, is the repository of the most famous Mughal’s monuments.

In the afternoon we visited the AGRA FORT, which lies on the bend of the RIVER YAMUNA

Emperor AKBAR built it as his citadel during the years 1565 to 1573 in the finest architectural style.

Imposing gates, walls of red sandstone and moat, dominates the center of the city

Exquisite architecture
