5.- FEB 2, CAPE TOWN

Daniel Silke, from Cape Town, was lecturing onboard and provided David’s phone number.
(David Hearsch is the Chairman of the Cape Town, Zionist Organization).

One day before arriving to Cape Town, we called David to introduce ourselves. The next day, David came onboard and spend the next 48 hours taking care of us in his friendly unpretentious way. We were impressed with his love and knowledge of Cape Town history and the work he does for the Jewish Community.

Friday night: Shabat services at the synagogue followed by dinner at the Rabbi’s home
Saturday: Walk through historic downtown. Breakfast @ Mike’s office, where the most interesting group of people get together every Saturday. Then driving to different places.

CAPE TOWN: Sheltered by Table Mountain, possess a beauty ans style seen in few cities.
The City Center reveals three centuries as the sea link between Europe and East. Elegant Cape Dutch buildings and imposing monuments to Britains imperial legacy.

Sales lady at the Greens Market in old downtown.

Constanza vineyard with 300 years of history.

Cape Town’s RIVIERA, (reminds you of La Jolla landscape).
Beautiful residential homes from the top of the mountain to beautiful beaches.
Notice the three story house with a Jacuzzi "al fresco" on the 3d floor.
A covered Jacuzzi on the bathroom on the second floor and 2 swimming pools on the lower level THAT’S LIVING!!
